2018 NTU-UTokyo Joint Symposium – Innovation on Emergent Materials

    This is the fourth joint conference between National Taiwan University (NTU) and the University of Tokyo (UTokyo) on the topic Innovation on Emergent Materials. From the Department of Materials Engineering of UTokyo, five professors, including Prof. Manabu Enoki, Prof. Takanori Ichiki (Department chairman), Prof. Hiroyuki Matsuura, Prof. Teruyasu Mizoguchi, and Prof. Kosuke Nagashio, and five students attended the conference and presented their research works. Five NTU professors, including Prof. Kuo-Chuan Ho, Prof. Ling Chao (Chemical engineering), Prof. Jer-Lai Kuo (MST), Prof. Chi-Feng Pai, and Prof. Cheng-Yen Wen (MST and Materials Science and Engineering), and five NTU students, including Cheng-Chieh Lin (MST), also contributed presentations in the conference. NTU and UTokyo host the annual conference in turn. This year, the director of MST, Prof. Chun-Wei Chen, organized the conference. One of the aims of this conference is to promote interactions between the students from the two universities and stimulate their future collaborations, so there was especially a student session, chaired by the participating students themselves. A great outcome of it is expected after the two-day conference.
