On March 14 2024, a significant collaborative event unfolded between National Taiwan University's International Graduate Program of Molecular Science and Technology (NTU-MST) and Kyoto University's Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS). Hosted at the iCeMS Main Building, the iCeMS-NTUMST Symposium served as a dynamic platform for NTU faculty members and students to visit Kyoto, fostering academic exchange and reinforcing a longstanding partnership. The day was filled with opportunities for learning and interaction, beginning with an ice-breaking session led by Prof. Dun-Yen Kang and Prof. Jun Suzuki, who introduced their respective institutions.

Following a delightful lunch, the afternoon unfolded into parallel symposiums. The student symposium, held at the second-floor auditorium, delved into topics such as "Energy and Sustainability," "Biology," and "Porous Materials and Applications," encouraging interdisciplinary discourse among students.

Concurrently, the faculty symposium on the fourth floor facilitated scientific exchange, with researchers from both sides presenting their work. Through one-to-one discussions and group dialogues, attendees explored diverse research concepts, fostering understanding and collaboration.

The day concluded with a banquet that provided a reflective close to the enriching experiences shared. This visit not only deepened the bonds between the attendees from both universities but also paved the way for future collaborations in molecular science and technology.
